Knowledge/Experience:

  • Testing and commissioning of power system protection & control schemes in the utility, power generation, and oil & gas industry.
  • Primary equipment testing involving power transformers, reactors, circuit breakers, CT’s, PT’s, surge arrestors, disconnect switches, cap and reactor Banks, etc.
  • Primary testing included but is not limited to the testing of E300 relays, DCS Loop checks, Breaker Function testing, FMR testing and be proficient in VLF, Tan Delta and PD cable testing.
  • Testing and commissioning knowledge as per NETA/IEEE standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a wide variety of issues simultaneously.
  • NETA Testing Certification an asset, current or previous.
  • 5-10 years of related experience
  • 2+ years in Testing & Commissioning

Job brief

AIS Integral is joint venture between Advanced Energy Solutions Ltd. (UK) and Integral Energy Services (Canada). AIS is a global leader & supplier of various ContraFlex® Insulation soft covers (jackets/blankets). AIS Integral facility is located in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada and produces our ContraFlex® brand of thermal/ heat conservation, acoustic, winterisation and certified fireproof soft covers (PFP). With the AIS Integral local facility, it further allows a greater level of service to our clientele to offer a full turnkey service including surveys, design, manufacture, and installation.

Removable insulation covers provide and prevent equipment & environmental damage and safety mitigation (overall plant & operators). This is achieved by putting together a system of insulation material, high temperature fabric, fire resistant materials, weather resistant fabric and fasteners. The insulation material provides the thermal insulation, the fabrics encapsulate the insulation material, and the fasteners hold the full system in place on equipment, piping and valves.

AIS Integral is seeking a responsible Insulation Survey Technician to perform field measurements (by hand & 3D scans with a handheld device). The items to survey would range from: valves, flanges, actuators, spools, mechanical equipment (turbines, pumps, tanks, vessels), instruments, junction boxes, structural steel.

Insulation Survey Field Technician responsibilities include working closely with AIS Integral design team (CAD) to prepare comprehensive manufacturing drawings to proceed the soft covers into production. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines.Ultimately, the Insulation Survey Field Technician ’s duties are to ensure that all items within AIS Integral scope of work is properly measured to ensure the various soft covers fit the client’s equipment and perform according to their specification.

  • Ability to travel all over Western Canada for extended periods of time away from home in camp environments.
  • Submit to frequent D&A testing due for the requirement to site survey an array of client oil & gas facilities and industrial plants.

Instrumentation Journeyperson Technicians – Fort McMurray – Fly In Fly Out

*Project Site is an Industrial Oil and Gas Project located approximately 1 hour North of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Paid flights from Edmonton or Calgary. Candidate will receive competitive wages, accommodation, and meals.

  • Shift is 7 on 7 off – compressed work week pay schedule
  • Primarily Day shift, may be asked to work night shift during Outages and shutdowns

Responsibilities

Work along side Plant E&I Maintenance team completing Work orders and maintaining equipment

  • Install and maintain instruments on new or existing equipment.
  • Calibrate, repair, maintain and adjust system components
  • Test accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, and other recording, indicating, or controlling instruments.
  • Work with a variety of pneumatic and electronic instruments to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, level, composition.

Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

AIS Integral designs and manufactures insulation covers; both jackets & blankets to protect equipment and personnel across a range of industries. Due to increased demand, we are looking for experienced industrial sewing machine operators to join the team in Airdrie, Alberta. You will be supporting a growing business on a variety of new projects, using specialist sewing equipment in the production line.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Following precise manufacturing instructions for production of our insulation jackets
  • Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understand output specifications
  • Taking measurements and marking materials for cutting and/or shaping
  • Determining and programming the size of batches and speed of the machine
  • Monitoring the machine while working to adjust the feed and identity any issues
  • Checking output to ensure consistency, and discarding any defects
  • Performing routine machine maintenance as required
  • General support and labour activities across production set up and processes
  • Adhering to necessary stock level controls
  • Maintaining tools and equipment, including cleaning and safe storage
  • Maintaining high levels of housekeeping; taking pride in your working areas
  • Working in line with requirements of quality, health and safety, and environmental management systems

Ideal applicants will be:

  • Experienced machinists: our team use an industrial, pedal operated JUKI machine
